Community Guidelines

Adult users may create and share suggestive or sexualized content that is not sexually explicit, such as content featuring swimwear, lingerie, suggestive poses, or mature romantic themes. However, our Services are not appropriate or intended for pornography or accounts dedicated to sexual activity. You may not use our Services in connection with sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content or activity (including illustrated or generated content), including:

• content or activity including, depicting, or describing full nudity or genitals, sexual activity (whether actual or simulated), graphic descriptions of sexual acts or arousal, sexually explicit fetish content, or sexual exploitation;

• creating, distributing, or promoting sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content, or offering or soliciting sexual services;

• following or engaging with others to make unwanted sexual remarks or sexually harass; and

• creating, sharing, or requesting a deepfake or other AI-generated or digitally manipulated sexualized or intimate depiction of an identifiable real person without that person’s consent.

We may permit partial or implied nudity (such as artistic, obscured, or covered nudity) that does not depict genitals or sexual activity, as well as nudity used for the purpose of raising awareness, advocacy, education, or documentary. All sexualized content must comply with the Minor Safety section of these Guidelines. We may label mature content, limit its visibility, or require users to opt in before viewing it. A decision to permit any such content is made at our sole discretion.

If you believe an intimate image or video of you, including an AI-generated or manipulated image or video, has been shared on our Services without your consent, you may request its removal at https://picsart.com/copyright-dispute-policy/. You do not need a Picsart account to submit a request. We will remove the reported content, and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies, within 48 hours of receiving a valid request.

We have zero tolerance for any content or activity that jeopardizes the safety or rights of children. The mature content we permit for adults never extends to minors or to anyone who appears to be a minor. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and relevant authorities as required by applicable law. You may not use our Services (including illustrated or generated content) in connection with the sexual exploitation or harm of children, including:

• sexual or sexualized content or activity involving minors or individuals who appear to be minors, including adults portrayed with childlike characteristics or in childlike roles in a sexualized context;

• content or activity that promotes, depicts, or describes child abuse or neglect or pedophilia;

• engaging in grooming behavior, including building an emotional relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse, exploitation, or trafficking; and

• sexualizing or inappropriately admiring children or sharing links to third-party sites involving sexual exploitation, sexualization, or abuse of minors.

We believe psychological safety and wellbeing are necessary for learning and creative expression. You may not use our Services in connection with harassing, bullying, degrading, shaming, insulting, or antagonizing others. This includes creating, posting or sharing any content or activity that:

• degrades, shames, or mocks;

• promotes, encourages, threatens, or incites violence or coordinated harassment;

• wishes death, disease, physical harm, or any other type of harm to a person;

• glorifies violent tragedies or disparages victims, or includes others’ private information without their consent, or attempts to blackmail, doxx, or “out” others; or

• intentionally uses our Services’ reporting mechanisms to harass others.

If another creator blocks your Picsart account, you agree that you will not contact or interact with that creator through another Picsart account.

We value diversity and want Picsart to be an inclusive and respectful place. You may not use our Services in connection with hate speech or content or activity that demeans, defames, or promotes discrimination, bigotry, harm, exploitation, or violence based on race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin or immigration status, religious affiliation, caste, veteran status, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, illness or disability (physical or mental), socio-economic status, age, weight, or pregnancy status. This includes content or activity:

• depicting logos, symbols, flags, slurs, uniforms, salutes, gestures, caricatures, illustrations, or individuals related to hateful ideologies;

• condoning, glorifying, or trivializing violent events that have occurred or may occur involving any of the attributes listed above;

• denying or spreading false information about well-documented factual events having taken place or portraying such events as hoaxes or conspiracies;

• dehumanizing, degrading, or promoting exclusions or segregation of individuals or groups based on the attributes listed above; or

• spreading or reinforcing harmful or negative stereotypes.

We may permit certain content for historical, documentary, or educational purposes. A decision to permit any such content is made at our sole discretion.

Adult users may share mature content involving violence, such as fictional, artistic, horror, action, or gaming-related depictions. However, Picsart isn’t a place for gratuitous or excessive violence, so you may not use our Services in connection with gratuitously violent or graphic content (including illustrated or generated content, and content depicting animals). This includes content or activity:

• depicting or describing real-world disturbing footage of war, car crashes, and similar content for shock value or to glorify the harm;

• depicting or describing real-world decapitations, suicide, terrorism, murder, or executions, or promoting any of these acts;

• depicting or describing real-world wounds where the injury is the central focus, or fictional gore that is gratuitous or excessively graphic;

• depicting or describing real acts of, or promoting, the torture, skinning, slaughter, mutilation, cruelty towards, or harm of animals or humans, or fictional depictions of such acts that are gratuitous or sadistic;

• depicting or describing weapons with intent to threaten or harm real people, or weapons widely associated with real-world mass violence or dangerous events;

• providing instructions on how to obtain, make, use, or sell weapons; or

• glorifying, supporting, commending, or idolizing perpetrators of violence or violent events.

We may permit certain content for historical, documentary, newsworthy, artistic, or educational purposes. We may label mature violent content, limit its visibility, or require users to opt in before viewing it. A decision to permit any such content is made at our sole discretion.

You may not use our Services in connection with or to promote gangs, terrorist organizations, cult communities, organized crime, and violent or extremist groups and we remove content and terminate accounts affiliated with these groups. This includes content or activity:

• depicting or describing hand signals representing gang affiliation;

• depicting or describing names, flags, slogans, monikers, logos, and other identifiers associated with such groups; or

• that glorifies or praises leaders or members associated with these groups.

You may not use our Services in a way that violates applicable law, or in connection with, depicting, or promoting criminal activity. We reserve the right to report any such violations to law enforcement and to remove content and terminate accounts that engage in or promote any form of criminal activity, including:

• using our platform to buy, sell, or trade illicit goods or controlled substances, including drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, pharmaceuticals, weapons, toxic substances, and counterfeit goods;

• providing instructions on or otherwise promoting criminal activity, such as swatting or fraudulent money making schemes;

• advertising illegal goods or services, such as the sale of weapons, drugs, escort services, or prostitution;

• promoting or glorifying the use of illegal drugs or other illegal or controlled substances or providing instructions on how to obtain, make, use, or sell such substances; or

• using our platform for human trafficking or any related activities.

You may not use our Services to encourage, normalize, or glorify suicide, eating disorders, substance abuse, or other harmful acts. This includes content or activity that:

• glorifies, promotes, or normalizes self-inflicted wounds;

• provides instructions on how to commit self-harm;

• includes suicide or self-harm challenges, dares, or games;

• depicts body changes which promote eating or exercise habits that are related to or likely to cause self-harm; or

• glorifies, encourages, or promotes severe or dangerous weight loss tactics.

We believe sharing or threatening to share private information is a form of abuse. You may not use our Services to violate the privacy rights of others, or to disclose or attempt to obtain the private information of others without their consent. Private information includes:

• contact information, such as an email address, physical address, telephone number, or photographs of a person’s residence;

• sensitive personal information, such as a national identification number, passport number, driver’s license, or username and password information; and

• financial information, such as credit card numbers or bank account information.

We want the creator experience in the Picsart community to be trustworthy and authentic. You may not use our Services, including our Generative AI Services, in connection with fraudulent activity, to mislead or deceive others, or to spread false information. This includes:

• creating an account impersonating a person or organization for the purpose of misleading others;

• generating, promoting, uploading, creating, sharing, editing, searching for, or posting (i) disinformation, (ii) synthetic or manipulated content like deepfakes that may confuse, mislead, or deceive others, (iii) propaganda, or (iv) any other misleading information meant to cause or incite harm, fear, panic, or disrupt civic processes;

• representing that the outputs of our generative AI Services are human-generated;

• posting content to divert web traffic to destinations that are unsafe, deceptive, pornographic, or commercial in nature;

• artificially generating, manipulating, or facilitating false engagement, including fake reviews or activity to increase views, votes, likes, followers, shares, comments, Remixes, or Replays; and

• engaging in spammy behavior, including creating inauthentic accounts and accounts en masse.

We encourage everyone to create and share their creations with the Picsart community, and to Remix, Replay, edit, and use content that other creators have shared with the community. However, you may not use our Services to violate intellectual property rights of others, including by uploading, creating, sharing, editing, searching for or posting content that violates or infringes on someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
