This gallery focuses on the urban dwelling birds who perch on our phone-lines and electrical wires. One of the unintended consequences of these concrete jungles we build around the world is that sometimes they become real jungles. Our communications and electrical wiring just so happen to be the best seat in the house for our feathered neighbors, who like to line up along the long threads of rubber, occasionally rocking back and forth or bouncing on the taut wires. Birds and wires are such a common pairing, that it is almost as though we invented the telephone just to give Birds a new perch with a better view. At any rate, birds are fully integrated not only into our cities but our communities, and like the rest of us, sometimes they just need to pick a comfortable spot to relax and watch the crowds pass through the streets as they go about their lives.
