A couple weeks ago, Flickr announced that they were making the desktop Auto-Uploadr available only to Flickr Pro members.
We get it. There’s a time when good things must come to an end. But worry not, PicsArt is here to help. If you can’t swing a monthly or annual storage fee, then you’re welcome to keep your photos safe with us for free and with unlimited capacity.
Simply visit www.picsart.com/flickr-migrate and follow the instructions to upload your photos. We welcome anyone and everyone and we accept images of all types and sizes. Your photos will be available to you in a private Membox folder called “Flickr Uploads” and will be private until you designate them as public posts. They’ll be accessible through our app (available on Android, iOS and Windows) and in your online profile at www.picsart.com.
We invite you to explore and enjoy PicsArt. There’s a universe of photo editing, collage making and drawing tools to unleash your inner Annie Leibovitz and Keith Haring. Find inspiration from a community of more than 65 million PicsArt users worldwide. Follow people whose style you admire (today we’re loving @chathuniii and @antonsquare) and discover emerging trends like the #AntiSelfie or #Surreal photo edits. And of course we encourage you to share what you create on PicsArt and/or the social network of your choice.
If you want to keep your Flickr photos to yourself, the good news is we’ll mark them as private by default and store them in your own personal gallery.
You may be asking yourself, “This seems pretty great, but what’s the catch?” Truly, our hope is to share PicsArt with everyone. We also know that to achieve our goal of beautifying the world, people need a free and easy service for storing, editing and sharing their photos. And we’re happy to provide that service for you.
Jump on board with PicsArt. We look forward to making art with you.
