Our drawing expedition into the deep sea has finally completed its maiden voyage, and we did not come back empty-handed. We have brought back with us 10 gorgeous drawings, treasure from the bottom of the ocean. These are the winning entries from this week’s Deep Sea Drawing Challenge, a contest which saw 317 entries submitted in total by our talented PicsArtist community. So now, as we hoist ourselves out from the cold seawater back into the reality, let’s take a moment to look over our prize catch.
Sylvie Girard (@girs) was this week’s contest winner, her 783 votes good enough for first place. Sylvie is a regular contest participant, having placed in the Beach and Musical Instrument Drawing Challenges and submitted strong entries to several others, even being featured in the DC Sport User Tutorials. Sometimes, you have to hit rock bottom before you can make it to the top, and here Sylvie sent a diver literally as low as you can go, to best all of her competition.
Marion (@mardraw) took second place, earning 694 votes for her enchanting underwater kingdom. Marion is a talented artist, who previously took first prize in the Jungle Drawing Challenge. She is still relatively new to the community, however, having posted only 19 photos to PicsArt so far, nearly all of them drawings, and all of which are beautiful.
In third place was Erica (@fluffypancake8) who earned 377 votes for her depiction of a classic scene from the film Finding Nemo, in which the story’s heroes come face to face with an anglerfish.
The notable drawing of the week belongs to ليانيوسف (@hats-and-cats), for this wonderful entry of a shark seen from below gliding over the dark ocean depths. This entry stood out for its sense of lighting and atmosphere.
