2017 was all about celebrating female empowerment. The movie “Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story” has definitely been a highlight in this celebration, paying homage to Hedy Lamarr, a classic Hollywood icon and the inventor of frequency hopping, the basis for wifi and bluetooth. The film showcases her struggle to be taken seriously as an inventor, as many people only saw her as a beautiful movie star. The woman who was said to be one of the most beautiful women alive, had an even more lasting superpower.
