For the Weekend Art Project this weekend, we are asking our users to acquaint themselves with PicsArt’s Pencil Effect. The Pencil Effect, when used effectively has the potential to produce amazing surreal images. We are looking for entries in which the original photo is spliced with the Pencil Effect so that the final image appears to be partially drawn with pencil and partially taken from a camera. Whether you are familiar with the Pencil Art Effect or not, this is the perfect opportunity to experiment with it and see what you can do.

How?

Open a photo in the PicsArt app and choose Effects>Artistic>Pencil in the panel below. The tool will then convert your photo into a hand drawn sketch. Use the brush tool to scrub away the effect wherever you choose. You can also reverse the process, using the brush to apply the effect tactfully to the original image. This allows you to apply or scrub away the effect on specific objects within the photo.

**Keep an eye out for our Pencil Effect tutorial coming soon!
