For today’s Daily Inspiration, try looking at the world from a different point of view, and share your new perspectives with the hashtag #POV

It’s very easy for us to fall into a creative rut because we’re always taking pictures from the same perspective—our perspective—but there’s a whole world of things to discover when you take a moment to see your surroundings from a different point of view.

Point of view is nothing more than the position that your camera or device is in when you take a photograph. It’s a very simple concept, but it opens up a world of opportunities when you start exploring it.

There are a couple of different techniques that you can use to explore different points of view when you’re shooting. A great place to start, believe it or not, is the floor. Get down on your hands and knees and start taking pictures from the ground. What does the world look like from the perspective of an ant?

Next, ask yourself what the world looks like from the perspective of a bird. Head up to the top floor of the tallest building you can find, and observe the world from a new perspective. Do you notice any patterns in the lines of streets or buildings below you?

Share your unique perspectives with the hashtag #POV, and we’ll feature our favorite submissions tomorrow in the app!
