For this week’s Drawing Challenge, we’re drawing silhouettes!
Drawing silhouettes is a great exercise because it allows us to focus on the form of what we are drawing. The challenge with silhouettes is to capture the essence of your subject in its simplest form—an outline. That is to say, without the luxury of drawing facial features and other details, we are forced to focus on the lines and contours that make up the figure we are drawing.
When drawing your silhouette, you know the drill—the possibilities are endless! Follow along with our step-by-step tutorial to learn how to create your own drawing, and then share your creation with the hashtag #dcSilhouette!
How to Enter the Contest
Submit a maximum of two drawings between Friday and Tuesday, September 29th at midnight PDT.
Submit a drawing by tagging it with #dcSilhouette or by entering it in the Contests section. Non-original art will be removed. Your drawing must be drawn with the PicsArt app, and it must be your own work.
How to Vote
Vote for your favorite drawings in the Contests section. All entries will be displayed randomly. Voting begins Wednesday, September 30th and closes Monday, October 5th.
The 10 drawings with the most votes win. Our jury will also choose one entry outside of the top 10 to be featured.
