In the middle stretch of November, PicsArt is buzzing along with fresh artwork, big releases, and reads you’ll only find on our Daily Journal.
Of course, the top item from last week was our November issue of PicsArt Monthly, which hit the internet with cover to cover exclusives on everything from public transit for photographers to our interview with Kirsty Mitchell, the former clothing designer who builds fairy tales in her backyard. It is definitely an issue you don’t want to miss.
That was just the first and biggest item in what was a colorful parade of great stuff that marched on throughout the week. Users edited some exclusive photos from Hilary Duff’s latest music video shoot, which she shared right here on PicsArt. We also held a nail biting centaur Drawing Challenge and posted our top 10 new artists, a guide to Mexico’s 6 most magical sights, some pro tips on cityscape photography and more.
Catch up on all of last week’s juiciest bits below, and leave us a comment to let us know what you got up to last week!

Facebook & Twitter Crumble For Cookies
With 417 likes and 12 shares on Facebook, as well as top numbers on Twitter, this pile of soft chocolate fudge and M&M cookies by fairy (@maha151) successfully appealed to peoples’ sweet tooths, becoming the most popular shot on social media last week.
Dog Pounces on Google+
Amer (@amer5), meanwhile, snuck up on people with this fantastic shot of a dog crouching low in the grass, which was the most popular on Google+ last week. Hide any pet canaries or rabbits, because this dog hasn’t lost his hunting instinct.
The dust has cleared, and at last the 10 winning entries from our Centaur Drawing Challenge have been crowned. Leah taylor (@leahtaylor) was our returning champion this week, trampling her competition with 415 votes for the win.
Our Halloween Holga Weekend Art Project had users create terrifying images using PicsArt’s Holga Effect, which splinters photos and their colors, creating eerie final images. In a contest that came down to the wire, Ryan McFancypants (@sirpants) took first place.
If you live in a rural area, the idea of photographing a major metropolitan city may be intimidating.
Our Centaur Drawing Challenge produced some amazing entries, as users reinterpreted the centaur using PicsArt Drawing Tools.
The PicsArt community is a continent of talent, and so every couple of weeks, we like to narrow the field by shining a spotlight on some of our most creative new users.
Every week, new and interesting creations catch our eyes here at PicsArt, so we’ve decided to help you sort through some amazing discoveries.
