Just remember that there are very few rules, and even those are meant to be broken. If you can dream it, you can make it art.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Quick Effects\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, you\u2019re ready to become a surrealist photographer, but you need an entry-level course to get your creative juices flowing. You\u2019ve come to the right place. Open the adjustments on it to change the intensity and color scheme. In the following steps, you\u2019ll see a landscape transform into a seascape and how you can use body-shaped stickers as thematic articles of \u201cclothing\u201d or accessories for the subjects in your modern surrealism photography.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select a photo to work with, as we did in step 1 in the previous tutorial. With the image on your editing screen, scroll over to the \u201cSticker\u201d tool and tap to open it.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61672 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.picsart.com\/2015\/11\/stickers.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. Use keywords to search for the type of stickers you want to use. Remember that if you\u2019re making surrealist art, it\u2019s best to seek out imaginative items that wouldn\u2019t usually exist in your photo or the context of it. Given the mountainous landscape of the photo, we opted for an oceanic theme, which allowed us to transport deep-sea creatures into a terrestrial image.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61689 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.picsart.com\/2015\/11\/unnamed-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3. When you\u2019ve added all of the stickers you wish, click apply to save your changes, and then tap on the downward arrow above the image to save or share it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61706 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.picsart.com\/2015\/11\/mermaid.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b>Overlays<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overlays are a great tool when making surrealism images. They essentially involve placing one photo on top of another and then shifting the opacity of the upper image so that it fades into the one below. It\u2019s an easy but impactful way to add unconventional elements and morph a portrait into a hybrid landscape or perhaps something a bit more celestial, like in the example below.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following step 1 from the first tutorial, open the photo with which you wish to work. Then, once on the editing screen, select \u201cAdd Photo\u201d from the menu below your image.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61723 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.picsart.com\/2015\/11\/surrealistic-overlay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2. Search for an image that would work well as a surrealist overlay. In this case, we went with something celestial, a context that would take this photo out of the everyday settings in which the photographer took it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61740 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.picsart.com\/2015\/11\/photo-overlay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once your overlay photo is on top of your original one, stretch it until it completely covers the one under it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-61757 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnblog.picsart.com\/2015\/11\/overlay.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"457\" height=\"386\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4. Now, let the magic happen. It will add dimension and depth and make the theme more coherent.
