Last month we introduced our first generative AI tool, <\/span>AI Image Generator<\/span><\/a>, allowing you to create images from a word, phrase, or sentence in seconds. Within just a few weeks, the tool surpassed creating more than one million images per day! Today, we\u2019re excited to unveil our newest generative AI tools (rolling out very soon) that will completely transform your edits: AI Replace and AI Background.<\/span><\/p>\n

AI Replace<\/span><\/h2>\n

Think of this tool as your magic wand to turn any part of your image into something brand new. AI Replace uses a technique called \u201cinpainting\u201d – or replacing parts of an image – to allow you to select any object or part of your photo and replace it with anything you can imagine. In the example image below, the ice cream was replaced with a tree using the keywords \u201cChristmas tree, ultra-realistic, HD, photorealism.\u201d You can even use it for cheeky purposes like removing your ex from a photo<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to use AI Replace<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

1) Open the<\/span> Picsart app<\/span><\/a> for iOS and tap the plus sign (+) at the bottom of your screen to start a new project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2) Scroll over and select \u201cDraw\u201d from the toolbar at the bottom of your screen.<\/span><\/p>\n

3) Select \u201cAI Replace\u201d and then brush over the area of your image you want to replace and tap the \u201cAI Replace\u201d button.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Describe what should replace your selected area (the more specific, the better) and then tap \u201cGenerate Image.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

5) Select your favorite image and either download it to your device or continue editing by selecting \u201cEdit Image.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

AI Background<\/span><\/h2>\n

Our new AI Background tool takes the subject of your image on vacation to a brand new destination. This isn\u2019t simply removing and replacing the background<\/a>. This tool uses AI to place the subject naturally within a newly generated scene, creating shadows and scaling an object to look realistic against its new background. For the example below, the succulent plant was placed within a more exciting background with the keywords \u201cIn the sand on a tropical beach with the ocean in the background, HD.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How to use AI Background<\/b><\/p>\n

1) Open the<\/span> Picsart app<\/span><\/a> for iOS and tap the plus sign (+) at the bottom of your screen to start a new project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2) Scroll to the right on the toolbar at the bottom of your screen and select \u201cRemove BG.\u201d You will then see the background of your image disappear.<\/span><\/p>\n

3) Select \u201cAI Background\u201d on the bottom of your screen.<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Enter a word, phrase, or sentence about the backdrop you want to generate. Select \u201cGenerate Image,\u201d and see your new AI generated scene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4) Select your favorite image and then select Edit image. Continue editing your image using thousands of Picsart tools, filters, stickers, backgrounds and more.<\/span><\/p>\n
