Survey Findings<\/span><\/h2>\n

To understand the needs and experiences of real-life small business owners, we conducted a survey. These results helped to shape the foundation of the Small Business Starter Pack. Here\u2019s what we found:<\/span><\/p>\n

Most significant challenge<\/span><\/h2>\n

When asked about what the biggest hurdle small business owners experienced at the start, t<\/span>he most significant challenge was found to be coming up with a business idea<\/b>, with <\/span>39%<\/b> of the vote. This was <\/span>followed by securing funding<\/b>, which over <\/span>22%<\/b> of the business owners surveyed stated as being their biggest concert.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finding Support and Inspiration<\/span><\/h2>\n

When beginning the journey of entrepreneurship, finding inspiration and a support system often makes all the difference. Roughly <\/span>2 out of 3<\/b> of the business owners we surveyed turn to <\/span>networking and mentors<\/b> for guidance. Over 60% of respondents also used <\/span>business books and publications<\/b> and <\/span>online communities or social media<\/b> as key sources of information.<\/span><\/p>\n

Branding for Business Growth\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is undoubtedly a crucial area to consider when launching a business. When asked how important branding is for business growth, an overwhelming majority believed it to be very important, with <\/span>80.79%<\/b> voting for this category and a further <\/span>16.26%<\/b> acknowledging it to be at least somewhat important.<\/span><\/p>\n

When looking to stand out from the competition, having clearly defined branding plays a significant role in helping to differentiate your brand and making it recognizable.
