For Melody Nazarian, Picsart\u2019s very own Senior Copywriter, the time has come to take the leap. With the release of the Small Business Starter Pack, each step – from ideation to launch – has been broken down into bitesized chunks and checklists, ready for budding solopreneurs, like Melody, to start their new venture. We\u2019ll be following Melody\u2019s business journey as she launches Taropy by Melody, a tarot-card reading service with a twist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Meet Melody\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Melody describes herself as <\/span>\u201ca creative person through and through, from head to toe.\u201d<\/i><\/strong> She can be found expressing herself through compelling copy, fashion (which she is no stranger to – her first job was as a Fashion Blogger for lifestyle magazine, PopSugar), poetry, and more recently, tarot card reading.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThose who know me well wouldn\u2019t be shocked that I picked up tarot because I\u2019ve always been spiritually inclined. I try to learn from life\u2019s hardships (they help us grow) and I get deep pleasure from turning sour lemons into sweet, sweet lemonade. It makes the challenges well worth it.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Life at Picsart<\/span><\/h2>\n

Having been at Picsart for 5 years, she is well and truly engrained into company life, and embodies the values of creator mindset and dreaming big.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFun fact: I was the first official copywriter at the company. A couple of years ago I was promoted to Senior Copywriter, which means I have taken on more of a leadership role, which I enjoy. At first, it was daunting to express my opinions out loud, but with time, practice, and encouragement from my manager, Kinzie, I gained confidence.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Positivity and enthusiasm are just two of Melody\u2019s core qualities that make her a go-to colleague for chats, advice, and creative discussions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTwo cliches that come to mind when I think about my job at Picsart: one, time does fly when you\u2019re having fun, and two, do what you love and you\u2019ll never feel like you\u2019re working a day in your life. I love what I do and the people I get to do it with.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What is Taropy by Melody?<\/span><\/h2>\n

After spending some time practicing her special skill, Melody started to plan her tarot business: Taropy by Melody. Having treated some lucky members of the Picsart team to their own personal readings, she developed her own unique offering.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTaropy by Melody is a tarot reading service, combined with coaching. I do in-person and virtual readings for anyone open and interested in learning more about themselves. There are two types of private readings: general readings to learn about themes to focus on, and in-depth sessions for clients who want to dig deeper into certain issues.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
