But what you might <em>not<\/em> know is that there are a ton\u00a0of different things you can do with it.\u00a0So we took a deep dive into the Sketcher Effect and picked out our favorite tricks for using it to make\u00a0ridiculously easy, ridiculously awesome edits\u00a0\u2014 just for you.<\/p>\n<p>Bonus: You can use these tricks with literally any other Effect. So\u2026 You\u2019re welcome.<\/p>\n<h1><span id=\"Play_up_the_scribbles\">Play up the scribbles.<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>After you\u2019ve scribbled the Effect onto your picture, load it into Draw and outline your scribbles in a bright color. So easy. So fabulous.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn74.picsart.com\/210350418004202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"210350418004202\" \/><script src=\"\/\/picsart.com\/embed.js?v1.1.0\" async=\"async\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h1><span id=\"Be_selective\">Be selective.<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Before applying the Effect, tap on the eraser icon and then brush it off over your main subject (bonus points if your background is a breathtaking landscape that you\u2019re turning into a literal work of hand-sketched art).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn78.picsart.com\/210351615000202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"210351615000202\" \/><script src=\"\/\/picsart.com\/embed.js?v1.1.0\" async=\"async\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h1><span id=\"Keep_it_colorful\">Keep it colorful.<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Just because the Sketcher Effect makes your pictures black and white doesn\u2019t mean that they can\u2019t be fabulously full of color. Here we applied the Effect everywhere except the main figure, then painted over the pavement in a bright blue color using the Overlay blending mode. And, since we were feeling bold, we threw in some Clipart from the Sarcasm package for good measure.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn79.picsart.com\/209925073002202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"209925073002202\" \/><script src=\"\/\/picsart.com\/embed.js?v1.1.0\" async=\"async\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h1><span id=\"Think_outside_the_box\">Think outside the box.<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>This one\u2019s a lot easier than it looks. Before applying the Sketcher\u00a0Effect, we tapped\u00a0on the eraser icon and then tapped\u00a0on the dotted square icon\u00a0(this lets you apply or erase the Effect using different shapes \u2014 did you know you could do that?!) We erased\u00a0the Effect over a rectangular area, and then we brushed it off over the rest of the smoke. Then we loaded our picture into Draw, used the Shape Tool to give it a color-coordinated border, and hand-drew an outline around the smoke.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn75.picsart.com\/210250782002202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"210250782002202\" \/><script src=\"\/\/picsart.com\/embed.js?v1.1.0\" async=\"async\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h1><span id=\"Get_graphic\">Get graphic.<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/picsart.com\/tutorials\/shape-tool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shape Tool<\/a> \u2014 used in eraser mode \u2014 gives you even more flexibility in the shapes you use to apply an Effect, so listen up. For this edit we opened the original image and the image with the Sketcher Effect applied as separate layers in Draw. Then we tapped on the eraser icon, opened the Shape Tool, and erased part of the layer with the Effect in the shape of a tilted rectangle (but there are a bunch of other shapes to choose from).
