And if those words happen to be a glammed up text overlay that you designed yourself? Yup, even better.<\/p>\n<p>Today we\u2019re letting you in on seven hacks to up your quote overlay game. Heads up: these tricks take a bit of layer work, so be sure to check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/picsart.com\/tutorials\/rainbow-text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rainbow Text tutorial<\/a> to learn the technique. We grabbed these Clipart images\u00a0from the Bianca\u2019s Lettering Art and Inspirational Quotes packs, but you can use any other Clipart pack, or even your own creations!<\/p>\n<p>Ready? Here we go.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Switch_up_the_colors\">Switch up the colors.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Start out simple by just filling your stencil with a solid color. We grabbed this one right off of the canvas with the Eyedropper Tool for a perfect match. Then we used the Add Photo Tool to add it to this adorable kitty drawn by <a href=\"https:\/\/picsart.com\/vhaneswr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@vhaneswr<\/a>, and drew a quote bubble around it. And that\u2019s it! We\u2019re smitten.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn127.picsart.com\/212522141002202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"212522141002202\" \/><script src=\"\/\/picsart.com\/embed.js?v1.1.0\" async=\"async\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Paint_your_own_pattern\">Paint your own pattern.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Play with different brushes, shapes, patterns and colors to create a background pattern for your stencil. Try it out with soft brushes and subtle tones, or up the contrast with hard brushes and vibrant pastels. (Lazy girl\u2019s version: grab a patterned collage background from the PicsArt Shop and add it as a photo layer in Draw.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn113.picsart.com\/212747693000202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"212747693000202\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Play_with_silhouettes\">Play with silhouettes.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>But also&#8230; who says your quote has to have a patterned background?? Try playing with strong silhouettes or colors that will match your quote. Like&#8230; an \u201ci like you\u201d that also packs a puckered up pair of lips.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn116.picsart.com\/212748179002202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"212748179002202\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Make_it_match\">Make it match.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For this one we went with colors that matched the picture (again, thank you Eyedropper Tool), then did a bit of brush work to blend the Clipart\u00a0right into the light trail captured by a long exposure. Dreamy, huh?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn110.picsart.com\/212748420005202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"212748420005202\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Go_for_galaxy_glam\">Go for galaxy glam.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For this one we started with a plain black canvas and turned it into a night sky with a couple of Clipart images\u00a0from the Stardust pack. We applied our stencil, and there you go! A \u201cboom\u201d straight out of the big bang.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pa-embeded-image\" src=\"\/\/cdn125.picsart.com\/212258915003202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"\" data-id=\"212258915003202\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Glitter_makes_everything_better\">Glitter makes everything better.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A straight-up picture of glitter is the perfect background for any quote overlay. Because who doesn\u2019t love glitter?<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><span id=\"Grime_it_up\">Grime it up.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instant <a href=\"https:\/\/picsart.com\/blog\/post\/grime-art-obsessed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">grime art<\/a>? We\u2019ve got a brush for that. Just open the brush menu in Draw and select the brush with the drippy icon. Run it along the bottom of your text and there you go \u2014 instant <a href=\"https:\/\/picsart.com\/tutorials\/grime-art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">grime<\/a>. We traced over the drips with a small opaque brush to make the effect more obvious, then threw on one of our new <a href=\"https:\/\/picsart.com\/tutorials\/magic-effects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Magic Effects<\/a>.
