The Stretch Tool<\/a> is definitely having a moment. We feel like we\u2019ve been seeing super stretched out edits everywhere, and we\u2019re loving them all. So today we\u2019re letting you in on the latest photo editing trick we\u2019ve discovered. It was inspired by a photo series by <\/span>Frances Berry<\/span><\/a> called \u201cLines We Live By\u201d (and we highly recommend you <\/span>check it out<\/span><\/a>). Berry uses vintage photos in her edits, but we\u2019ll show you how to add your own creative spin to the technique using your own photos. Give it a try in this easy tutorial \u2014 we dare you not to love it.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Download PicsArt<\/a> photo editor and collage maker for iOS<\/a>, Android<\/a> or Windows<\/a>. <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Open your picture in the photo editor. Tap on Tools > Stretch.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Tap on the paintbrush icon with a lock at the top of the screen. This will allow you to lock certain parts of your photo so they don\u2019t get stretched.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Use your finger to select the areas of your photo that you wish to remain intact. Tap on the paintbrush icon at the bottom if you\u2019d like to adjust the brush size as you go. When you\u2019re done, tap on the check mark. <\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Tap on the Warp icon to open the brush settings panel. Bring the brush size and power up to the max. <\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Use your finger to start stretching your photo. If you make a mistake, you can always tap on \u201cRestore\u201d in the bottom right corner and brush over the area where you\u2019d like to undo the distortion. Tap on \u201cApply\u201d when you\u2019re done.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Tap on the arrow in the top right corner to finish. Save your edit and share it on PicsArt with the hashtag #StretchItOut.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
