DNSNSMDMF I HATE THIS okay so some of u guys wanted me to rant so yeah... so in elementary school i was in chorus right? and when we performed we had to wear these “no-show socks” with flats. no-show socks r just socks that don’t show lmao and so u don’t get blisters. before we performed the music director (a white woman) held up a tan/peach colored no-show sock and told everyone they had to get a “skincolor” sock like the one she was holding up😑 LIKE DJDNDJSMDM WHATS HER PROBLEM THO LIKE NOT EVERYONE HAS THE SAME SKIN COLOR AS YOU. SKINCOLOR IS NOT ONE COLOR... EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT COLOR MY GOSH ITS NOT THAT DIFFICULT. so at the time i was like confused like uh that’s ur skin color not mine but wtvr... i was also the only black girl... wait no.. the only black kid in chorus that year. then i told my mom abt what the music teacher and she was ✨upset✨ like she was so pissed bc the teachers were teaching the kids that “skin color” is that tan/peach color and it isn’t and it is NOT ok to do that. remember racism isn’t born, it’s taught. so my mom called the principal and everything and she told her. i mean like SHE TOLD HERRR. to this day i regret not wearing a black no show sock (i didn’t have one then sadly) to show that teacher that ppl have diff skin colors. btw the black sock i have now is like the color black.. not my skin color which is messed up cuz i think they didn’t have any other colors. it’s so simple... people have different skin colors... it’s not that hard to understand. on another note... a few months ago when there was non stop protesting for the blm movement, a bandaid brand expanded their selection so now they have bandaids for every skin color!!! yayyy!! progress!!😁😆 um yeah i’m done talking now... props to u if u read that all👏🏽 like seriously... comment if u did and i’ll follow u if i’m not already lol ✨ 𝒎𝒚 𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒔 ✨ @homeboy_trey #blackgirlproblems#blacklivesmatter
