A collection of short stories? Poetries? Maybe a collection of essays? A biography? What about the genre? Is it for healing? Inspiration? Or does the title itself emit something more sinister? Tell me your thoughts about this haha! I’m so excited to hear your thoughts. Story time: Okay, so a few background about my work ethics or what I do behind the screen every time I make my edits. I usually search for plain backgrounds with enough space for me to adorn with stickers and photos. This very edit does not lean far away from what I do on my own thing. Oftentimes my edits are spontaneous, and I heavily rely on the final outcome before I post them. If they don’t sit well with me, I stay on that edit for hours until I feel satisfied with my work. That’s how painstaking this whole process is. And if there are cases where I can’t click with my edits, I save them in my phone’s gallery until I’ve forgotten all about them lol. Of course there are some instances where I go back to try again (just like my previous edit), but this doesn’t happen quite often since I incline to start a new edit. This only happens when I feel bored enough to walk down the memory lane, see an old edit I abandoned, try to challenge myself if i could give it a new look, and the rest is history. So anyway, back to this edit. When I was working on this one, it was really pure spontaneity. I search for stickers and photos and just pin them there in the main photo. If they don’t click, I remove them and the process repeats itself. Take note that this whole search, pin, remove and vice versa process of mine could take HOURS. That’s just how dedicated I am to my edits. I want everything to be as neat and creative as possible. It’s not in my nature to throw stickers and photos here and there and just call it a day. Every pin has a reason for me, and everything counts. So, the moment I pinned an aesthetic sticker on the main photo to check if it would go well, I was surprised to find that they DID click with each other. And it was then that I thought, ah, so this is the edit, huh? And with that said, everything just fell into place. I thought at first this edit would turn out as my very first aesthetic, collage-ish(?) edit (even if it seems unconventional for a collage). It turns out that yes; it is an aesthetic edit, but not exactly a collage one (I really can’t tell if this edit falls under the collage category to be honest huhu. Please educate me, my Picsart collage experts 😭). It is an aesthetic edit but a BOOK COVER inspired one. I was really stunned because I just had a conversation about this with Hades and the others (most especially with swanhook219 in picsart) a while ago. And the fact that this very topic just got manifested out of nowhere and through this edit too, I just— 😤😭 I really don’t know what to say. Only that I’m just really so enamored with this edit, and it’s not even funny haha 😭😫😭 It looks too much of a legitimate book cover and I’m just so in love with it. It may not be really perfect, but the very art of this, the very potential this edit has as a book cover—the possibilities are immense and endless. I’m just really so proud of this edit, enough to dub it as my most favorite edit yet this 2021. 🤧🥺💖 So yeah, that’s the story 😆 and now I’m just curious of what comes into everyone’s mind when they see this edit 😆 if you ask me, I would say that anything is possible for this “book cover” edit. It could be a poetry book about self-love. It could be a mystery novella. It could be a collection of short stories depicting themes of life, hardships. It could be an epistolary novel (yes please) etc. At this point, it could be anything, really haha. 😭😭 Anyway, that’s it then. I hope all of you like the edit as much as I do!
