We are swimming in toxic soup. Levels of multiple chemicals with dirt, dust, debris, fungas, viruses, bacterias, parasites, micro, macro ppm chemicals of every unthinkable type all interacting.
Entering us, our food, water, soil, DNA, RNA, altering our genetic makeup. We eat, drink, breath, shower in, swim in countless chemicals.
There is one worst offender. Not coal, fossil fuels, gases, radiation, pfos, pfoa's, those are only the "tip of the ice berg." Ice bersgs that are vital to the planet are gone, entire glacial fields are gone, extinct. The balances of the ice, fresh water, salt water, brackish waters. The rapid melting will speed up causing ocean currents to alter, change directions and impact our way of life most won't survive... Unsurvivable flooding, storms, heat, fires, droughts, famine. We, the worst offenders of earth are now facing our own extinction.
More than 99% of species that evolved on earth are now gone. 900 species have gone extinct in the last five centuries.
Precious minerals overmined, gaping holes in the earth for countertops, driveways, pretty rings and eye beams. As simple as a pair of shoes, plastic shaker of salt, shampoo bottle or bottle of water are a detriments to existence.
Could major changes make any difference? Why not? Isn't it better to try?
Is it too difficult to not use plastic? Try bringing your own reusable grocery bags when you shop?
Give up household chemical cleaners and switch to biodegradable, organic all natural. Try it for a week. Then give me your honest answer. Can you change?
