Space Owner & Admin Code of Conduct
The guidelines and expectations for users who create and admin their own Spaces
With Picsart Spaces, we want to empower & uphold the integrity of a passion-centered creator community. The Space Owner & Admin Code of Conduct serves to set our expectations and allow you to make your decisions effectively. Space Owners & Admin are a crucial part of a thriving, positive community in Spaces. Our goal is to ensure that you feel supported and empowered in your role.
Space Owners & Admins are all responsible for the collective stability of their Space and may be held accountable as a group for individual Admin actions. Because of this, it is important to understand and continuously educate on these guidelines.
Rule 1: Create and admin a healthy, stable community
All Space Owners & Admins must abide by Picsart’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Use, and be role models in Spaces by both upholding community rules and demonstrating positive engagement in the community. The content and behavior in the Space you are responsible for is also subject to Picsart’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Use. It includes but is not limited to posts, comments, promoted (pinned) content, Space description, and Space rules. If you see any behavior or content that violates this Space Owner & Admin Code of Conduct, Picsart’s Community Guidelines, or our Terms of Use, promptly report the user profile or content. Space Owners & Admins may not initiate, enable, or encourage any content or behavior that breaks these rules.
If a Space Owner or Admin receives a report that a community member is under the age of 13 or has reason to believe a community member is under the age of 13, this should be reported immediately to the Picsart team. A Space Owner or Admin should protect the privacy and safety of a Space by not requesting or sharing personal information (such as full name or email address) and by reporting to the Picsart team instances of such sharing in their Space.
Rule 2: Set appropriate and reasonable expectations in the Space
It is important to set transparent and easily understandable expectations in a Space. This helps to create a stable community and engagement relevant to the Space. Space Owners & Admins are expected to set appropriate and reasonable expectations by:
Creating a clear description of the Space topic
Providing rules that explain the expectations for interacting in the Space in a clear and concise manner
Answering questions from members in the Space and directing them as-needed
Taking action on members in the Space that violate the Space rules
You are encouraged to use the Community Admin Playbook for examples of descriptions, rules, moderation, and engagement best practices that promote healthy community.
Rule 3: Respect fellow community leaders and members
While we encourage all community members to discuss feedback about Picsart tools and their experience in a constructive manner, a Space communitymay not be used to coordinate or encourage interference in other Spaces, it may not be used to target other community members for harassment, and Space Owners & Admins cannot initiate, enable, or encourage any community members to engage in the aforementioned behaviors.
We expect all Space Owner & Admins to exemplify good behavior in the community and under no circumstances should they engage in harmful content or discriminating behavior based on: race, religious affiliation, gender identity, age, ability or any of the additional attributes as listed in Picsart’s Community Guidelines. To read more about what we do and do not allow on Picsart, see our Community Guidelines.
Rule 4: Be model community citizens
Model community citizenship is the bedrock foundation of a stable, thriving community and is the best defense to discourage bad behavior and Space rule breaks. Proactive and positive participation in the community by Space Owners & Admins sets the tone for the Space community they are responsible for.
Community Moderation Oversight
Our goal is to ensure that you feel supported and empowered in your role. We want Space Owners & Admins to be the best community leaders they can be. If a member of the Picsart team reaches out regarding a violation of the Code of Conduct, we appreciate the timely responsiveness and cooperation of the Space Owner/Admin in order to reach resolution. We will do our best to work with Space Owners & Admins to resolve issues through discussion, however we do reserve the right to make decisions we consider appropriate for the community. We reserve the right to revoke or limit a user’s ability to create or administer a Space at any time at our sole discretion. If any Space Owner/Admin responds to communications from the Picsart team with hostility or we find issues to be unresolvable via educational outreach, the following enforcement actions may be taken:
Temporary or permanent restriction of the user’s access to Spaces or the Owner/Admin’s own Space
Prohibiting a Space Owner/Admin from creating new Spaces
Prohibiting a Space Admin from becoming an Admin for other Spaces
Removal of content
Any other action we deem appropriate based on the circumstances
