Your outfit, peeled off the photo and placed into the city like a sticker.
A full-body outfit photo on a London doorstep: red jacket, candy-pink scarf, green heels. A hand pinches the top of the look and peels it off the photo – and the whole outfit comes away as a die-cut sticker, white outline and all. Same outfit, peeled clean and dropped into the city like a paper doll.
That is the OOTD sticker peeling trend. The outfit photo is the raw material; the peel is the magic – the look cut clean out of its background, wrapped in a thick white border, then peeled and placed by hand into a fresh scene. User @marieromarie recreated the trend with a run of London street fits and the results are impressive. Creators across TikTok and Reels are peeling their way through a whole outfit archive.
What is the OOTD sticker peeling trend?
Three beats:
- The fit – a full-body outfit photo against a simple backdrop, so the whole look reads as one shape.
- The peel – the person and outfit cut out and given a thick white outline, turning the look into a die-cut sticker you can lift off the photo.
- The placement – the peeled sticker dropped into a new background, often with a hand pinching the top to peel and place it.
One sentence: peel your outfit off the photo as a white-bordered sticker and place it into a new scene.

Why it works
- An outfit post with a twist. The look is still the star, but the peel-and-place treatment turns a flat OOTD into design.
- The white outline does the work. That thick die-cut border sells the peeled-sticker illusion instantly – no caption needed.
- Carousel-native. One peel per slide, a new placement each time. Built for the swipe.
- Low barrier, high ceiling. Any decent full-body photo works, but a strong outfit and clean backdrop make it look like a fashion archive.
- Endlessly remixable. New fit, new peel, new backdrop – the format reloads every time.
How to make it in Picsart
1. Shoot the outfit as one clean shape
Stand against a simple backdrop – a doorway, a plain wall, an empty street – and get the full look in frame, head to toe. A busy background fights the cutout, so keep your edges clear. A bold color or distinctive piece makes the finished sticker pop.
2. Peel yourself out in Sticker Maker
Open Picsart Sticker Maker and upload your outfit photo. Use Remove BG to erase the background, then refine the edges so the cutout hugs your outfit cleanly – hair, hems, bag strap. Export as a PNG to keep the transparent background.
3. Add the white sticker outline
Bring the cutout into the Picsart Photo Editor as a sticker and tap the Border icon. Choose white, then use the thickness slider to push the outline out until it reads like a real die-cut sticker. This white stroke is the signature of the trend.
4. Place the peeled sticker into a new scene
Open your background – a black front door, a cobbled courtyard, a city porch – with Add Photo in the Picsart Photo Editor, then drop the white-bordered cutout on top with Add Sticker. Position and resize it so it sits naturally, then repeat with a few fits and backdrops to build a carousel.
5. Animate the peel-and-place reveal in Video Editor
To match the original, make the sticker look peeled off and placed by hand. Open Picsart Video Editor, drop in your scene, and animate the sticker sliding or fading in from a pinched-fingers shot. Time it to a clean beat, then string the placements into one flip-through.
Variations worth trying
- Outfit archive flip. A run of your best fits, each peeled and placed somewhere different – a lookbook that feels like a collection.
- One backdrop, many fits. Keep the same scene and swap the peeled sticker each slide for one styled series.
- Hand-placed reveal. Film a real hand setting the sticker down, then drop the cutout in on the beat.
- Mini sticker sheet. Shrink several cutouts onto one background like a printed sticker sheet.
- Seasonal sets. Group placements by season – summer fits on bright streets, winter looks on grey stone.
- Friends edition. Two people, two cutouts, peeled and placed side by side into a shared scene.
One photo, one peel, one sticker you place anywhere.
The OOTD sticker peeling trend turns a normal outfit photo into a die-cut sticker you peel off and drop anywhere – cut clean, wrapped in white, placed by hand.
Shoot the fit, peel it out, add the outline, place it.
