Picsart Flow has plenty of templates that run Veo. These three are worth pulling apart, and the useful thing about them is not the model. It is what each canvas hands the model before it generates anything. One passes a photo straight into the video node. One rebuilds the frame first, then rotates it, then extends it. One repairs and recolours a damaged picture across two stages before a single second of motion exists. Same model, three very different chains.
What a Veo workflow chain does
A single prompt asks Veo to invent a subject and move it in one pass. Everything you did not specify gets filled in, which is why the same prompt run twice returns two different people in two different rooms.
A chain splits that work across nodes. Each node has one job, produces one output you can look at, and hands a settled frame to the next. By the time the video node runs, the subject, the lighting and the background are already decided, so the generation spends itself on motion alone.
The three templates are three chain lengths, and the length is more useful to learn than the template.
Straight through. One image node wired into one video node. Nothing between them.
Rebuild, then move, then extend. The frame is regenerated before it is animated, and the finished clip is lengthened by a second generation.
Repair in stages, then move. Several image passes run in sequence, each correcting the last, before motion is generated from the final frame.
One portrait, two nodes, six seconds
The Collage Dance Loop Video from One Photo template is the shortest canvas in the set, and the honest answer to how short is two nodes. An image node holding your portrait, wired straight into a video node.
That matters more than it sounds. The collage is not built in a separate step and then animated. The single video node receives one seated studio portrait and returns a vertical frame where the same figure is repeated at several sizes, the centre one ringed in a glowing outline, all of it already moving.
Its instruction is two sentences long. One describes the arrangement, the other asks for very subtle camera motion, a slow zoom or a floating effect, and nothing else.
That restraint is the lesson. The photo already carried the wardrobe, the pose and the light, so the only words left to write are about layout and camera. Six seconds at 9:16 is built for a Reel, and a slow drift is what keeps a repeating clip from announcing where it loops.
One product shot, rotation plus extend
The Create Rotating Product Showcase Video with Animation template is the longest of the three at thirteen seconds, and the canvas shows exactly where thirteen comes from. Eight seconds of rotation, then a five second extend.
It starts with an ordinary lifestyle photo, a serum bottle on a tiled surface with flowers behind it. The next node does not cut the bottle out. It regenerates the entire frame onto a deep black studio ground, with dramatic lighting, rim light and a subtle contact shadow.
The interesting part is how that node is constrained. Before any styling direction, it spends three full sentences forbidding the model from touching the product: no redesigning, no distorting, no stretching, no regenerating, no altering the shape, branding, labels, colours or materials. The background is free to change completely. The bottle is not.
Only then does motion run, and the instruction is a specification rather than a mood. One clockwise revolution around the vertical axis, completed in eight seconds, starting front-facing and ending in the exact same position as the opening frame. Naming the closing frame is what makes the rotation loop cleanly.
A final node then extends the clip by five seconds to lay launch-date typography into the lower third, fading in and out over the product.
Worth knowing before you copy this one. That extend step is not Veo. The canvas changes model between nodes, and the typography extend runs Grok Imagine. A chain is free to switch models node by node, and the better ones usually do.
One damaged photo, restored then animated
The Old Photo Restoration Colorization and Animation template sits in a frame named Image Restorer, runs seven nodes, and is the only landscape build of the three at 16:9.
The order is repair, then colour, then motion, and each stage pairs a text node with an image node. A damaged photograph of a couple goes in. The first pass runs Nano Banana Pro and is unusually specific about the look it is rebuilding towards: visible film grain, realistic skin texture, low contrast, neutral grading, and a named film stock and lens emulation rather than a vague instruction to clean the photo up.
A second Nano Banana Pro pass then colorizes that restored frame, reading light greys as soft pastels and dark greys as saturated tones, and repeating the same film and finish instructions so the two passes agree with each other rather than fighting.
Veo receives nothing until the end, and its brief is the opposite of the collage template’s. Subtle interaction between the people, breathing, blinking, a slight turn of the head, and an explicit instruction not to move the camera at all.
One template asks for a floating camera. This one bans camera movement outright and puts every bit of motion into the faces. Four seconds is right for it, because archive footage does not need length to land.
Which Veo model sits behind the node
Every video node across the three templates runs Veo 3.1 Fast, the speed optimised variant, at 720p with audio off. That is a sensible default for template work. Fast is what you want while you are still testing which photo survives the motion, rather than finishing the one that does.
The model sits on the node, not on the template, so it can be changed. Veo 3.1 is the step up when a clip has to carry native audio, or when you want the higher quality pass on a frame you have already approved.
The image stages are not Veo at all. Restoration and colorization run Nano Banana Pro, and the product template’s extend runs Grok Imagine. Every one of those pickers sits on its own node, which is the whole point of building on a canvas instead of in a prompt box.
How to run these Veo templates
The three templates open the same way. Start from Picsart Flow, open the one closest to the job in front of you, and work left to right.
- Trace the chain before you run anything.
The nodes arrive already wired. Two nodes on the collage build, seven on the restoration one, so know what you are dealing with first. - Read the settings row on the video node.
Model, ratio, length, audio and enhanced prompt all sit there, and on a photo-led build they matter more than the prompt wording. - Replace the input photo.
This is the asset every downstream node reads, so it deserves more of your time than anything else on the canvas. - Run the image stages first.
Restoration, colorization or a studio rebuild each produce a frame worth approving before you spend a generation on motion. - Generate the video node on its own.
Run it alone rather than firing the whole canvas, so you can judge the clip on its own terms. - Re-run single nodes, then export.
Every output regenerates independently, so fix the weak node instead of rebuilding the chain. Exporting usually needs you to be signed in.
The product build spends its opening sentences forbidding edits to the bottle. Whatever you cannot afford to have reinterpreted deserves the same treatment. One template asks for a slow floating zoom, another bans camera movement outright. Leaving it unsaid is how drift gets in. The rotation names its closing frame explicitly, which is what makes one revolution repeatable. Restore, recolour or rebuild in its own node, then animate the clean result. 9:16 for Reels and product pages, 16:9 for anything sitting in an archive or a page header. It is a chain of connected nodes on a Flow canvas where Veo handles the video step and other nodes prepare the frame before it.
