Sunday is National Ice Cream Day 2017, and you know what that means — lots of ice cream photos on your social feeds (and also free ice cream).
Ice cream comes in many different forms, and each one is special in its own way. But you know what’s not that special? The majority of ice cream photos.
But hello world, we’re PicsArt photo editor, and we’re here to change that. We’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve to help you up your photo editing game on what’s arguably the most wonderful day of the year. Get ready, because things are about to get EXTRA.
- Download PicsArt photo editor and collage maker for iOS or Android.
- Open your ice cream photo in the Editor and tap on the Stickers icon. Search for “disco” and find a disco ball sticker.
- Place the sticker over the ice cream in your photo. Lower the opacity of the sticker, then tap on the eraser at the top of the screen.
- Erase the edges of the sticker so it looks like it’s sitting in the cone. Tap on the check mark to confirm, then bring the opacity back up to 100%. Tap on “Apply.”
- Tap on the “Add-Ons” icon and download the Rainbow Dreams sticker pack for free. Choose the third sticker in the pack (the brightly colored, curved rainbow).
- Place the rainbow sticker over the disco ball and switch to the Overlay blending mode. Tap on “Apply.”
- Tap on Tools > Dispersion. Use your finger to select the edge of the disco ball sticker and tap on the arrow in the top right corner. Increase the stretch to ~90, the size to 0, and adjust the direction as necessary. Tap on “Apply.”
- Tap on the arrow in the top right corner to finish. Save your edit and share it on PicsArt with the hashtag #NationalIceCreamDay!
Bonus! If you want to make your edit extra extra (and you know you do), here’s how to add rainbow confetti using the Shape Brush in Draw.
- From the photo editor, tap on the Draw icon.
- Tap on the paintbrush icon and select the star icon. Choose a shape (we used the diamond shape) and confirm.
- Use the sliders to adjust the brush settings as you like — just be sure to bring the “hue jitter” and “scatter” sliders up to the max. Tap on the check mark to confirm.
- Tap on the color chooser in the bottom left corner and choose a bright color (any color works!).
- Use your finger to brush rainbow shapes over the dispersion effect. When you’re done, tap on “Apply” to go back to the photo editor.
- Tap on the arrow in the top right corner to finish. Save your edit and share it on PicsArt with the hashtag #NationalIceCreamDay!
