Photographers have always been fascinated with patterns. There is harmony in the aesthetic of geometry repeated over and over again, and in the visual of relationship of the parts to the whole. Perhaps among the most interesting facts about patterns, is their frequency. They occur naturally all around us on a daily basis. We live inside them and walk amongst them. They are as big as the planet’s largest cities and as small as the intersecting threads of a common bedspread. Patterns are mesmerizing, hypnotic and beautiful.

This mini-gallery highlights captured images from the PicsArt community of patterns taken from the urban landscape. Enjoy!
