Last month, we partnered with Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) and artist Loan Chabanol to bring you Haiti is Love, the editing challenge that set out to show the beauty and resilience of Haitian culture and communities. Using the hashtag #HaitiIsLove, you brought APJ’s mission to create a better platform for community and education to PicsArt. APJ is a nonprofit organization that encourages peace and social justice while addressing issues of poverty around the world, with an emphasis in Haiti. Their programs range focus on healthcare and dignity through the arts. Your submissions to Haiti is Love offered an image of Haiti that portrayed the spirit, community, and proud traditions that make Haiti unique. In addition to being a creative hub where artists can collaborate and create together, PicsArt has moved beyond being a simple photo editor to a must-have tool for the classroom. In fact, it has become a place for students and teachers to enhance learning around the world. Whether it’s as simple as making slides or creating graphic collage art, it still amazes us how students are using PicsArt in more ways than we can imagine.
