This month, we’re celebrating ten years of Picsart. Ten years of our incredible tools, team, and most of all, you: our community. Over the years we’ve seen people use Picsart to create everything from fan art, collages and eye-catching selfies to podcast covers, social media posts, website assets and everything in between. Thank you for your creativity!

I started Picsart in 2011 after my daughter expressed the need for both a safe place to share her art free of judgment, as well as the tools to bring her creativity to life. At that time, I could have never expected the world we’d be living in today, one where who you are or where you are in the world doesn’t matter: creativity is accessible to all. And we’re grateful to be part of that.

Over the years, we’ve seen many creative apps come and go, but we’re proud to say that Picsart captivates Gen Z and Millennials more than any other. Today we have thousands of tools, millions of #FreeToEdit images and stickers, images, animations, templates, and remixes, and well over 150 million monthly active users. Picsart has been downloaded more than 1 billion times and is consistently ranked in the top 20 apps on iOS and Android worldwide, often #1 in photo and video editing.  We also have a team of more than 1000 employees across 15 countries working diligently to make Picsart better every single day.

Picsart has become a verb – synonymous with photos everywhere. Everything from meme crypto images, to futuristic collages, beer posters, tree of life depictions, and even a Taylor Swift album cover. Just search “Picsart” on YouTube to find tens of thousands of user created videos, search the app for crypto, find the icon for the last podcast you listened to, or open a marketing email from your favorite brand – the aesthetics and influences are everywhere. 

Creativity has come so far since the early days of Picsart, and we can’t wait for the next ten. Will we be creating completely in the metaverse in ten more years? Or perhaps future generations will communicate via images only, and text will be obsolete. Whatever might happen in the next ten years, we promise to remain true in our mission to empower the creator in everyone.
