It’s been hard to ignore the devastation of the Nepal earthquake, especially following a second 7.3 earthquake serving as another reminder. As more stories showing both the pain and the endurance of the Nepalese people continued to spread in the aftermath of the first quake, PicsArt vowed to do help out both financially and with our community. We promised to donate 50% of our in-app revenues during the week of the first earthquake – and we made good on it.

PicsArt has donated those revenues to the International Medical Corps to assist with urgent relief efforts all across Nepal. The International Medical Corps have been on the ground working tirelessly to house those who have been displaced, conduct health consultations, and provide clean water to prevent the spread of diseases. You can learn more about the response PicsArt is assisting with here.

Perhaps equally as important, PicsArtists all across the world have been showing their support by spreading awareness with creative, touching images. #Nepal and #PrayForNepal have been trending since the start of the tragedy, illustrating the thoughtfulness of our community. We find solace knowing that PicsArtists’ creations show solidarity with those who have been directly or indirectly impacted.

The relief effort is far from over and will take years. To continue to assist on your own, click here. Any amount given to the International Medical Corps will make an impact.

Our thoughts—and now our assistance—are with the Nepalese people.
