Camille Delahaye (@delacam) lives in Eastern France near Annecy in Haute-Savoie, a region known for its winter sports. Camille is your typical teenager who loves to laugh and have fun with friends—but she’s also a national rowing champion with a passion for photography.
Camille received her first digital camera when she was 12. “It wasn’t a great camera but it did not stop me from experimenting,” she shares. “I never stopped taking photos, always striving to do better. I learned by snapping and editing as many images as I could.”
Camille discovered PicsArt when she received a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 for Christmas at the age of 15. When I asked her about her favorite PicsArt pastime, she referred to the Weekend Art Projects because they push her creativity and imagination. Camille likes the Selection and Clone Tools, which helped her create the levitation shot below.
Camille never set out to have a big following on PicsArt, but has managed to gain over 215,000 followers. Each day she gains between 700 and 2,000 followers and I am sure many of them see what I see: Camille’s images are relevant and striking. She says, “I like to show different emotions through my photos.”
In high school Camille was a competitive swimmer, training for over 20 hours a week. After graduating, she replaced swimming with rowing. Within a year she qualified for France’s prestigious rowing competition, Le Championnat de France Bateau Long. Her team placed 8th in the 2015 competition, a major feat proving that this PicsArtist can do whatever she sets her mind to.
In September, she will move to Lyon to train as a dental technician. She plans to continue photography and stay active in sports. She also plans to continue to nourish her following at PicsArt. In turn, we look forward to seeing her new feats and her creativity soar.
