You’re using the creative tools to remove and replace the background of an image to promote a small business, announce new products, or make your marketing collateral stand out. That’s why we’ve drastically improved our background removal tools to fit your creative needs.
How to Remove the Background of an Image
We know that background removal is incredibly important to so many of our creators. So as of today, you can find a new Remove BG button right in the Editor toolbar.
Here’s how to remove the background of an image using the new tool.
Step 1) Open the Picsart mobile app and tap the plus sign (+) to start a new project. Upload a photo of your choosing.
Step 2) Scroll across the toolbar in the Editor and tap on Remove BG. Congratulations, you’ve removed the background of an image in just one tap. You’ll likely notice how much the accuracy and quality has improved.
Step 3) Most creators remove the background of an image so they can replace it with something else. If you want to change the background to another color, then tap on Color and select Solid or Gradient to select a new shade for your image background. Tap Apply when done.
Pro tip: If you want to give your image more dimension, consider selecting a more dynamic background. Tap on Background and select any of the default background designs or tap the up arrow to upload an image from your camera roll to use as the new background.
Step 4) Tap on Ratio and select from any of the preset image size options or create your own. This step is important if you’re designing an image for use on a social media platform.
Step 5) Tap on the original image and adjust the opacity, color, position, etc. as needed.
Step 6) Save and share your image.
