Alert, alert! We have some very important information that is guaranteed to improve your working-from-home experience ten-fold. Hint: It involves something we’ve all been doing a lot more of lately… Zoom video conferencing!

Zoom video conferencing is awesome for a lot of reasons. There’s the obvious: You can chat face-to-face with nearly anyone in the world while in sweatpants (business on top, of course 👔). But, there’s another key game-changer that you might be in the dark about that sets Zoom above the rest: their virtual background feature.

What’s a Virtual Background?

Zoom’s “virtual backgrounds” allow you to have your own personal green screen behind you during your Zoom meetings. In other words, you can swap your cat-hair-covered couch for a tropical paradise in just a few clicks. 🌴

The best part is you can also upload your own custom images and designs! We have hundreds of PicsArt backgrounds for you to choose from, ranging from nature to galaxy to home office, that you can take as is or build off of in our editor (10/10 recommend). Note: Set the dimensions to 1920X1080 with our Crop tool for the best fit.

5 PicsArt Zoom Backgrounds for You!

We took the liberty of designing five fun PicsArt photo background masterpieces to show you a handful of the infinite possibilities! Feel free to right-click to download one if it catches your eye. 😄

Background 1: Working Dogs

Bring your dog to (virtual) work in just a few taps with our Cutout tool! The process is easy and fun. Simply outline a picture of your pup, save as a sticker, add your saved sticker to any background, and duplicate until you’re content with the number of doggos present.

Background 2: Squirrel Island

Ease the awkwardness and get your coworkers laughing with a conference call from the beach. You may not be able to put your feet in the sand, but the reactions will be equally satisfying. To get this look, we used a beach background, cloud, squirrel and sandcastle stickers, and the 1995 filter. 🍹

Background 3: Positive Vibes Only

Working at home can be 👎 for office morale. If you start to feel the energy nosedive it’s time to make a hyphy PicsArt background edit switch quick! One “yasss” sticker paired with a simple gradient background can go a long way.

Background 4: Fresh Squeezed

Do your eyelids get heavy the second you hit mute? You’re not alone! Keep everyone from nodding off with a vibrant, cheerful background. We chose the color orange since it’s known to improve focus, concentration, and creativity. 🍊🎉 Then we added cute citrus fruit stickers and a light mask to tie the look together. Orange you glad we made this for you?

Background 5: The Faux Office

We understand that not everybody can take their online video conference calls from the hypothetical beach, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have your piece of the cake when it comes to the virtual background world. You just have to get creative!

People in more formal settings can embrace what we like to call the faux office. For this cozy scene, we used a photo in PicsArt and applied one of our sparkle masks to liven it up. Next time your house is a mess before hopping on a call, don’t worry, we’re here to help you keep up appearances. 🙌
