How to install the extension in Brave desktop

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store in Brave

Visit the Picsart Capture & Create listing using Brave on your computer. This is the same Picsart listing used by Chrome.

  2. Choose Add to Brave

Read the browser's permission request and confirm installation if you agree. You do not need a separate Brave store account or a different download.

  3. Open Picsart from the toolbar

Visit a regular webpage and click the Picsart extension icon. Connect your Picsart account when you want to save online or create with AI.

See Brave's official extension installation guide. Installation availability does not mean every Picsart feature has been verified in Brave.

Explore the screenshot and visual web clipping workflow

The shared Chrome extension provides these tools. Their operation in installed Brave is still being checked.

  1. Keep a useful visual reference

Use visible-page or selected-area screenshots and supported page images as references for a mood board, creative brief or design idea. Visual web clipping selects media; it does not archive full articles or entire websites.

  2. Organize files in Picsart Drive

Choose a folder, review the selected file and approve its transfer. A local capture is separate from an online save. Confirm the saved file before relying on it.

  3. Develop an image or video idea

Use a reference and your own prompt, choose a model and review its settings and credit terms. Approve generation separately, then review the result before using it.

Screen recording and video clipping: know the limits

The Chrome package includes short, silent selected-area screencasts, limited to 120 active seconds and 25 MB in WebM format. It does not record audio or a microphone, and the workspace must stay open. Recording in Brave remains unverified.

Continue with Picsart's video clipping tool

Explore Picsart Clipper for online video clipping. The extension is designed to open a supported saved Drive video in that web app. Automatic file selection in Brave is still being verified. Opening Clipper does not approve paid processing.

Capture supported content only

Protected media, internal browser pages and unsupported streams cannot be captured through this workflow. It is not a full YouTube video downloader or a way to bypass content protection.

Your Picsart account, credits and privacy

Online Drive saves and AI creation use your Picsart account. Only use media you have permission to use, and avoid uploading personal, private or confidential information.

Approve uploads and generation separately
Preparing a creation reference can upload it before generation approval. Review the exact credit quote when available. Continuing without a price requires a separate, explicit acceptance of an unknown charge.

Keep control of saved files
Cancelling generation, disconnecting or uninstalling does not delete files already saved to Picsart Drive. Source previews may contact the original media host.

Understand privacy choices
The current extension has no usage analytics integration. Picsart websites have their own privacy practices. Read the privacy policy and Drive and generation credits guide.

Brave installation and compatibility FAQs

For help, include your Brave version, extension version and the displayed error. Never send passwords, access tokens or private media URLs.

Why does Add to Brave open the Chrome Web Store?

Brave installs Chromium-compatible extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Open the existing Picsart listing in Brave desktop and choose Add to Brave. It is the same extension used by Chrome, with no separate Brave listing or approval.

Has every feature been tested in Brave?

No. Brave-specific checks for the side panel, sign-in, Shields, screenshots, recording and Drive/Clipper workflow are still in progress. The published Chrome listing establishes installation availability, not complete Brave compatibility.

Should I turn off Brave Shields if something fails?

Do not turn off Shields globally as a general fix. Retry the action and contact Picsart Support with your Brave version, Shields settings and the displayed error. A blocked media host or sign-in problem needs to be diagnosed before changing protections.

Do I need a Picsart account or credits?

Online saves and AI creation require a Picsart account. Generation uses applicable credits and requires approval of the shown quote or a separately confirmed unknown charge. See the Drive and generation credits guide. Installation does not include unlimited AI generation.

Can I record a screencast in Brave?

The shared Chrome package has silent selected-area recording, up to 120 active seconds and 25 MB, with no microphone or audio. Brave recording compatibility is still being verified, so it is not yet a confirmed Brave capability.

Can I remove an image background?

The included background-removal account tool is unavailable in this build. The action explains the limitation and does not substitute a paid generation.

Where can I find more setup and troubleshooting help?

Read the Chrome setup guide for the shared extension's workflow, and Chrome capture and recording troubleshooting for background information. Chrome-specific instructions do not confirm that the same feature works in Brave. For Brave issues, contact Picsart Support.
