LTX 2.3 Outpaint expands a video beyond its original frame. Your source clip stays fixed in the center and the model generates a new surrounding region to match, widening the canvas, for example turning a vertical clip into an ultrawide 21:9 shot. Unlike reframing, which crops and re-centers existing footage, outpaint adds brand-new content around it.
It supports 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, and 9:21, with an ultrawide 21:9 canvas as the default. That lets you reformat one clip for cinema-style widescreen, square, or vertical social placements from a single source.
Yes. A text prompt is required (up to 5,000 characters) and directs what the model paints into the expanded region, so you control the scenery, lighting, and detail that fills the wider frame. A negative prompt is also available to steer results away from unwanted elements.
You can render at 480p, 720p, or 1080p, with 720p as the default and 1080p as the maximum. Output length is set by frame count (9 to 481 frames, 121 by default) at 1 to 60 fps, and audio can optionally be generated alongside the expanded video.
Beyond the prompt and aspect ratio, you can tune sourceScale (how much of the canvas the original occupies), videoStrength, cfgScale, and the number of inference steps, plus video quality and seed settings. These give repeatable, production-ready control over how the wider shot is generated.
