Keep the part of the video that matters

A video cropper changes the visible area of your footage. Crop out distracting edges, center a subject, or bring a smaller detail into focus. The crop applies to the frame rather than the length of the clip. Watch the whole video before exporting so moving subjects stay visible and text near the edges does not get cut off.

Crop for square, vertical, and landscape layouts

Use a preset to make your footage fit a specific shape. A 1:1 crop gives you a square frame, 9:16 creates a vertical frame, and 16:9 keeps a landscape layout. Other available ratios include 4:5, 4:3, and 3:2. You can also choose Free and adjust the crop yourself. Start with the destination format, then position the frame around your subject.

Cropping removes parts of the picture around the edges. It does not shorten the video or automatically reduce its file size. To cut unwanted moments, use Trim Video. If you need different output dimensions, use Resize Video. The Video Toolkit keeps these controls separate so you can make the edit you actually need.
